A front desk that does not miss calls.
Regna builds voice and communications infrastructure in South Africa. Here is what we are doing and why.
What we are doing, and why.
Businesses lose customers on the phone. The person at the desk is with someone, or it is after hours, and the call rings out. The caller does not leave a voicemail. They phone the next name on the list.
Nobody writes that down as a lost customer, so it never gets fixed. We started with that.
An AI receptionist that answers the phone first. Then the things behind the phone: messages, bookings, reminders, invoices. Each one is a switch you turn on when you are ready for it.
It sits in front of what you already use. You keep your number, your diary and your WhatsApp. There is no migration.
It says it is an AI. On every call, at the start, before it asks for anything.
It has to earn independence. It starts by taking messages and drafting replies that a person approves. It only handles a type of request on its own once your own numbers show it does that reliably, and you can switch that off again in one click.
Call recordings for South African customers are stored in an African region, and that rule is enforced at the database layer, not by policy. Where a customer requires call audio processed in-region, the platform refuses any AI backend outside it, per call, with an audit trail of which backend served.
We are building this with a small group of founding customers in South Africa.
If you run a front desk and want to be one of them, get in touch.
Founding customers, limited places. Live in days, not months.
